CHARLES E. “BUD” or “BUGSY” WEYGAND, JR., 75, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Elaine L. (Knowles) Weygand for 27 years. Charles was a son of the late Charles E. Sr. and Lillian (Kingsley) Weygand.
Charles grew up in Pawtucket, RI and was a graduate of St. Raphael Academy. He was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force and later attended Johnson and Wales University. Charles was a regional sales manager for several national restaurant supply businesses, including his own, for many years before his retirement. He cherished time spent with friends and family, especially his grandchildren. Charles loved traveling, fishing, boating, and gardening, as well as shopping at Home Depot. He was a wine connoisseur and enjoyed many seafood dishes.
Charles was the loving father of Kim C. Desjardins (Chris), C. Michael Weygand (Katie), Michael J. Keegan (Jessica Coristine), and Alecia L. Keegan; devoted grandfather of Ashley and Emma Desjardins, Michela and Brittany Weygand, Jake, Coco, and Anna-Katja Keegan; caring brother of Robert Weygand, Marjorie Coltrera, and the late James Weygand and Richard Weygand. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His funeral will be held Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 8:45 am from the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Francis de Sales Church, School Street. Military honors will be rendered following the mass. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours Friday, 4-8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society, RI Chapter, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886, will be appreciated.
