Obituary

Deborah A. Turgeon, 64, lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at the Greenwood Center in Warwick. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Ellen (Lury) Lovelace. Deborah worked in the jewelry business for the first half of her life and was a self-employed interior/exterior painter for the latter half and took great pride in the work she accomplished. She is survived by her daughter from her marriage to Robert Turgeon, Ann Marie Millard and her husband Jason; her grandchildren, Samantha and Alexander Millard. She also leaves two nephews, Michael and Vincenzo Lempitsky, who she raised along with their father Ronnie Lempitsky, and she considered her own. She was also the eldest sister of Rey, Gail, Jackie, Harold, William, Bruce, Ann Marie DiMaio, Kevin and Debbie Lovelace.

Debbie was an extremely selfless person who would help anyone that needed it and always put others first. She did not care about material things but cared greatly about her large family that was with her until the end. Everyone that met Debbie liked her instantly. She always had a big sense of humor which as a child made growing up fun. Laughter was a big part of our lives and will always remain. Even in the end when her battle with cancer took part of her away from us, her sense of humor remained and was a saving grace for all that loved her. She was always strong and never complained even if she was struggling. Her nephews considered her their personal angel, who was selfless and who sacrificed her life for them. They hope they can impact someone’s life as much as she did theirs.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 2-4 PM with words of remembrance at 4 PM in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick.
