Donald E. “Don” Chamberlain, 84, passed away February 24, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Regina A. (Wilkins) Chamberlain for 58 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Lemire) Chamberlain.
Don was an Army veteran. He was employed as an ironworker for Local # 37 for over ten years. Don then worked as a clerk for the State of Rhode Island until retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Francis Council #2011, and was a 3rd Degree Knight. Don was a past member of the Exeter #1 Volunteer Dire Dept., and former manager of the St. Bernard Braves, Drum and Bugle Corp. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
Don was the father of David Chamberlain, Richard Chamberlain, Jeanne Greene, and the late Kevin Chamberlain; grandfather of Amanda Chamberlain, Kate Liberatore (Dan), Joshua Chamberlain (Kristen), Katie Chamberlain, Nicole Chamberlain, Todd Greene, Jr., Kyle Greene, Kristen Tabulina (Cris), Jennifer Correira (Derek), and McKenzie Chamberlain; great-grandfather of Braydn Chamberlain, Jackson, Lillian, Aubree Chamberlain, Cristopher, Kristyana, Cristian Tabulina, and Declan Correira; brother of the late John Chamberlain. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Friday, March 1, 2019 at 9 am from the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Bernard Church, Tower Hill Rd. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Thursday, 4-7 pm.
