Franklin D. Becote, 64, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the VA Medical Center in Providence, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Florence, SC, he was a son of the late Johnnie and Queen Esther (Singletary) Becote. Franklin was the beloved father of Briant Becote (Erin) and Starlie Becote; brother of Betty Brown, Therman Becote, Jimmy Becote, Rosa Becote, Olase Becote, Chris Becote, and Lydia Brindamour. His is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
Franklin was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as a machinist for many years and enjoyed fishing, building, and his dog, “Play.”
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the RI Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI at 11:45 am on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. Military honors will take place at 12, noon.
