Lillian A. Shaffer Obituary

Lillian A. Shaffer, 97, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019 at home. She was the wife of the late Arthur T. Shaffer and the late Charles F. Hall, Sr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Claude McCoy and Ida Mosley. She was formerly employed as a jewelry worker and a house keeper. She was a member of the Olney Street Baptist Church in Providence and member of the Mass Choir. She was the beloved mother of Lucille M. Henderson, Charles F. Hall, Allen L. Shaffer-Hall, Stewart M. Shaffer, Bruce Shaffer, Debra L. Shaffer-Mylers, Phyllis E. Chatman, and the late Catherine Hall; twenty-seven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and many, many great-great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, October 14, 2019 from 4-8 PM in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 AM at the Olney Street Baptist Church, 100 Olney Street, Providence, RI 02906. A visitation will be held at the church Tuesday 9:30-10:30 AM. Burial will be in the RI Veteran’s Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Olney Street Baptist Church will be appreciated.
