Lorraine E. Martineau Obituary

Lorraine E. Martineau, 90, died Friday, August 24, 2018. She was the wife of the late Leo C. Martineau and daughter of the late James L. and Florence E. (Minehane) Briggs. Mrs. Martineau was employed as a stenographer. She had owned her own company, Steno-Plus, and also worked for Attorney G. John Gazzaro, Jr. She later worked for the state of RI with MHRH until her retirement. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy of the Visitation. A communicant of St. Timothy Church, she was past president of the Women’s Club and enjoyed traveling and bowling. She was the beloved mother of Jeffrey A. Martineau, David A. Martineau (Jill Billings), Michael E. Martineau, Michelle M. Martineau (Fadi Shawish), and the late Christopher J. Martineau. She also leaves her beloved six grandchildren, great-granddaughter, and sister Arleen Rogers.

Her funeral will be held Monday, August 27, 2018 at 9 AM from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Timothy Church, Warwick Avenue. Burial in the RI Veteran’s Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday 3-5 PM. Memorial contributions to the charity of your choice will be appreciated.
