Margaret V. Searles Obituary

Margaret V. Searles (Doull), 80, passed away Sunday May 19, 2019 at RI Hospital in Providence. She was the wife of the late Donald F. Searles. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late William Doull, Sr. and Edith L. (VanNostrand) Carpenter. Margaret was the beloved mother of Deborah C. Catania and Patricia M. Searles; loving grandmother of Shawn D. Searles, Tara M. Poppler, Joseph M. Catania, Thomas J. Coningford and Hannah G. Bonacassio; sister of Bruce Doull, and the late William Doull, Jr. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Margaret was a devoted member of the Bahai Faith. She worked as a library assistant at the Knight Memorial Library in Providence and worked part time at the Cedar Crest Nursing Home in Cranston as an activity aid. She was a very caring and giving person.

A funeral service will be held Thursday May 23, 2019 at 10 am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Burial in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours, Wednesday 4-8 pm.
