Ryan M. Thomas Obituary

Ryan Matthew Thomas, 40, passed away at home on Saturday, July 18, 2020. Born in Warwick, he was a beloved son of Lynn M. (Hathaway) Dalton and the late Kim M. Thomas. Step-son of Gary P. Dalton. He was the brother of Toma C. Thomas and his partner, Doug Dusharm. Ryan lived in Rhode Island for most of his life, but also spent a few years living in Colorado, before returning back to his home state. He held numerous construction jobs over the years and was a skilled carpenter in the industry. He was also an avid recreational fisherman and loved having a good time in the company of friends and family. He loved to laugh and to make others laugh. His humor and wit will be missed by all. Besides his parents and brother, he leaves behind his Aunt Donna, cousin Robert Valcourt and his wife Vickie along with their two children, Stephanie and Jason all of New Port Richey, FL. Also, cousin George Valcourt and his wife Dellie of Gainesville, FL, uncle Edmund Hathaway and his wife Serife, Cousins Derek Hathaway and his wife Lisa, Kevin Hathaway and Ed Hathaway and his wife Stephanie, all of Rhode Island, along with numerous extended family and friends. Ryan was also the beloved uncle of Hadley, Ainsley, and Reese Hathaway.


A visitation will be held Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 1-3 pm with a service to follow at 3 pm in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Crossroads Rhode Island, 160 Broad Street, Providence, RI 02903, will be appreciated.
