Zelia M. Celona Obituary

Celona, Zelia M., 53, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015. She was the beloved wife of Paul J. Celona. Born in Candelária São Miguel, Açores, she was a daughter of Manuel and Eduarda (Jorge) Pavao. Zelia was a physical therapist assistant in women's health at Women and Infants Hospital for the past five years, and formerly worked at Fatima Hospital in acute care. She was an active member with the APTA, recently elected secretary of the Women's Health Specialty Group. Zelia was the devoted mother of Thomas J. Celona, and Ryan M. Celona PO3, USN; sister of Manuel Pavao, Margaret Engle, and Maria Benson.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, August 6, 2015, at 9 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in the Church of the Presentation, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, Attleboro, MA. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-7 pm.
